Foundation starts search for talented engineering students

2007-11-27 - The ABB Jürgen Dormann Foundation for Engineering Education has now started work with universities to find students who need financial support to enable them to study.

The first country where work is under way is Poland. Early next year, contacts will begin with universities in India and China, and in Spring 2008 discussions will get under way with universities in Brazil and Egypt.

The five countries have been chosen by the Foundation for the first year's intake of students. Additional countries may be selected in subsequent years.

For further details of the Foundation's work and aims, view the video interview with Gary Steel, chairman of the Foundation’s board. Other stories on the Foundation, which was formally launched in September 2007 can also be found on a special site (www.abb.info/foundation).
